4th of July Events & Party Tips

Independence Day is just a week away! There's no better place to spend the 4th of July than at the beach. No matter what your plans may include, we hope you find some time for fun in the sun. Today, we're going to give you some give you some party tips if you're hosting a 4th of July get together and give you a couple of local events happening on the Crystal Coast to celebrate this holiday!

Many families enjoy spending the day on the beach or on the boats, having a cookout or hosting their own little fireworks show. Check out these tips to help you be the hostess with the mostest this 4th of July.

Put a fun spin on food. Opt for a fruit salad of red, white and blue - watermelon, strawberries, blueberries.

Make a playlist. Include chill, summer tunes and incorporate some festive music as well.

Have lots of drink options. July 4th is likely going to be a hot one, especially here on the Crystal Coast. Make sure to have plenty of drinks to keep your gets hydrated. Get creative with your drinks. Freeze ice cubes with blueberries or strawberries for a pop of color.

Keep the mosquitoes away. If your gathering will be outdoors, make sure you have citronella candles or spray for mosquitoes.

Have a small fireworks show. Grab some fireworks from the local fireworks stand. Wait until the end of the evening and end your party with a bang!
